Learning to discern that which comes from God, and that which comes from Satan is something I am still learning to do.
Our world is full of Satan’s influence – it’s in our music, media, games, television programs, novels (even romance novels), as well as in our social media. It is everywhere in our world.
We walk and battle Satan’s din daily. I have been working with a St. Ignatius Spiritual Director for the past year learning to walk in the path of God’s Divine will, and above all discern. Sharing with all a great summary by Br. Alexis Bugnolo on St. Ignatius’ Discernment of Spirit.

For me, this path meant giving up romance novels and my addictions (to name a few) to K-drama and Chinese drama (binge reading or binge watching). I didn’t do it alone, but with the help of the Holy Spirit working in me. One bad influence at a time.
