Yesterday, as MeiMei and I were rushing out to the grocery store, I quickly called out goodbye and God bless as my husband drove Matt to the airport.
He is away again on another business trip.
As a mother, I cannot help but feel proud as I watch him and his business partner continue building their marketing company. The long hours, the risks, the sacrifices, and the determination are slowly becoming something real. Through the simple tool of social media, he keeps us updated with little snippets of his travels and work.
I smile when I see his stories appear.
A photograph.
A short video.
A glimpse into another city.
And there I am, sending a heart emoji across the miles.
The older I become, the more I find myself contemplating these small moments.
This morning, my daughter woke before dawn to drive me to the metro at six o’clock.
God bless her.
Losing sleep simply to take care of her mother.
Before I had even finished my coffee, she was already thinking about everyone else. She planned to stop and pick up breakfast from McDonald’s for her father. She prepares lunches and breakfasts throughout the week. When her brother is home, she often makes meals for him as well.
None of this is required.
No one asks her to.
She simply does it.
And as I sat quietly reflecting, I realized that these are the moments we often overlook while searching for bigger things.
The successful business trip.
The growing company.
The accomplishments.
The milestones.
Yet beneath them all are the quieter acts that truly sustain a family.
A daughter waking before sunrise.
A son remembering to share a glimpse of his journey.
A husband driving to the airport.
A breakfast picked up on the way home.
Simple acts of love woven together day after day.
Perhaps this is what I am learning in this season of life.
The precious moments are rarely the ones we plan.
They are the ones we suddenly notice.
And when we do, our hearts fill with gratitude.
For a brief moment, we see what has been there all along:
Love quietly at work.

We spend so much of life wishing we could hold on to a moment.
Yet perhaps the gift is not that the moment remains,
but that love remains.
The years move forward.
Children grow.
Seasons change.
And then one day we find ourselves looking through old photographs, revisiting familiar places, or recalling an ordinary morning long forgotten.
Suddenly we realize:
These were never ordinary days.
They were precious moments captured—
small glimpses of grace woven into the fabric of everyday life,
quiet reminders that God was present all along.
The moment may pass.
The years may fade.
But the love remains.
And so do the memories held gently within our hearts.
God Bless 🙏❤️
