Reflections on faith, hope, and the quiet journey with Christ

Even in Sickness, God Plants Seeds

Over the past week, I found myself slowed down by illness. Like most of us, my first thoughts were simply to rest and recover. Yet as I look back, I realize that God was still quietly at work.

Sometimes we imagine that our usefulness depends on how much we accomplish. But God often works most gently in the hidden moments—when we are resting, praying, reflecting, or simply learning to trust Him one day at a time.

The seeds He plants are not always dramatic. They may be a simple prayer, a song that rises unexpectedly from the heart, a poem, a word of encouragement, or even a smile shared with someone who needs hope.

Whether we recognize those seeds often depends on how we choose to see our circumstances. The same experience can become a burden to carry or an invitation to discover God’s quiet presence within it. Faith does not always change our situation, but it can transform the way we receive it.

As I return to my daily routine, my heart is simply filled with gratitude. I thank God for walking beside me through my illness, for giving me the inspiration to keep writing, singing, and creating, and for reminding me that His work never stops—even when mine does.

May every word we speak, every kindness we offer, and every song we sing become a small seed planted in the hearts of others, trusting that God will bring forth the growth in His own perfect time.

To God be all the glory.

I released two versions of Morning Offering—one inspired by the traditional Catholic morning prayer, and this version, written as a universal Christian song of gratitude and surrender for the day ahead.

Wherever today finds you, may your heart be filled with peace, hope, and the quiet assurance that God walks beside you.

Have a blessed day. ❤️🙏
