Walking with God has been a journey of self discovery for me, I decided to start a personal blog devoted to this. It has not always been an easy journey, there have been many occasions I walked in the opposite direction, and closed my ears to his whispers. There has been time when I literally told God to look the other way as I indulged in the side of sin. God has remained faithful to me, always there and silently guiding me when I turned away.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believe on him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life. John 3:16, 17.
I am not perfect. I have a mouth of a guttersnipe, and have to count to 10 to stop myself from sounding like a bitch. The change in me is just that…making a concerted effort to change – not alone, but with the help of our Lord Jesus.
Since a child, I have memorized this verse. As I got older, I continue to take these words for granted. I have skirted being a Christian and like a bad seed on the fringe of my life. I have lost my way more times than I can count on my hands, but God is faithful, and as he has promised us, He has given me Jesus. His death is offered like a sacrifice and it is the love of God in letting his only Son die for me for my inequities that I can be saved, and renewed in Him.
This blog is my living testimony.
Praise be to God
Your hands have lifted me up from the shadows
more times than I can recall
You have always remained my loyal Friend
Even when I have shrugged off Your helping hands
Praise be to God
For loving a sinner like me
