Reflections on faith, hope, and the quiet journey with Christ

Good morning.

Before the noise of the day begins — before the lists, the news, the rushing — let’s pause together for one small, quiet moment.

Begin with gratitude.

I know Mondays don’t always feel like grateful days. The weekend is over, the week stretches ahead, and there’s so much to carry. But gratitude doesn’t need perfect circumstances. It just needs a willing heart and an honest look at what’s already here: the breath in your lungs, the light through the window, the people who love you, the God who never left.

This week, I’m celebrating something close to my heart — the launch of my new book, The Quiet Work of Faith. It’s a collection of reflections and poems about finding God right here, in the quiet work of everyday life. Not on mountaintops, but in kitchens and waiting rooms, in grief and in gratitude.

And it strikes me that a book about the quiet work of faith should begin its week the same way faith itself begins each day: quietly, gratefully, one morning at a time.

So here’s my Monday blessing for you:

May His peace go before you this week.
May His grace meet you in every small, ordinary moment.
May you walk gently — with yourself, and with everyone you meet.

What are you grateful for this morning? I’d love to hear. Leave a comment below, or simply hold it in your heart as your first prayer of the week.

Walk gently into the week, friends. Give thanks for what is here.
