A Stronger Me In My Own Existence

I was quietly complaining to God about the dry, challenging read of Hebrews, questioning why I was diving into this chapter. Having committed to studying Paul’s letters, I found Hebrews wasn’t resonating with me spiritually.

But as I reluctantly read Hebrews 10, a deep realization struck me. Hebrews 10:10 declares, “We have been made holy through the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ, once for all.”

My sins are forgiven, and in verse 17, God promises, “Their sins and lawless acts I will remember no more.”

What a powerful affirmation of forgiveness.

Verse 22 adds, “Let us draw near to God with a sincere heart and with the full assurance that faith brings, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water.”

Verse 23 urges us to cling to hope, saying, “Let us hold unwaveringly to the hope we profess, for He who promised is faithful.”

It also calls us to build community:

“24 And let us think of ways to spur one another on toward love and good deeds, 25 not giving up on gathering together, as some have done, but encouraging each other, especially as the Day draws near.”

I give thanks to God for sending His beloved Son, through whom our sins are cleansed. Verse 35 encourages us not to cast aside our trust in Him, for it carries the reward of keeping our souls pure. Having received the truth, we must not willfully choose the path of sin, lest we face judgment.

God Bless 🙏💕
