The global outcry for justice following the tragic death of Yu Menglong echoes from the West to Asia, uniting voices in a fervent demand for truth. The official police report claims his death was not a deliberate act but a tragic accident—a fall from a window after a night of drinking. Yet this explanation has unleashed a Pandora’s box, casting suspicion on China’s political elite and the influential second generation who hold sway over the art and entertainment industries. What troubles me deeply is the lack of verified evidence to substantiate claims of satanic, quasi-ritualized performances or Chinese superstitious rites tied to luck and longevity. We are left with unverified dark web materials and the relentless efforts of netizens piecing together fragments of truth. Why this oppressive silence? I believe it flows from the iron grip of censorship wielded by China’s ruling political system and its allies, determined to shroud the truth in darkness.
As I reflect on this, what has been exposed feels undeniably demonic, with art twisted into a grotesque mirror of the macabre. As Scripture warns, “For every one who does evil hates the light, and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed” (John 3:20, RSVCE). My heart aches as countless sensitive souls, attuned to the spirit realm, share visions and spiritual readings of Yu Menglong’s soul crying out for justice. His spirit lingers in a liminal space, neither resting in God’s embrace nor confined to purgatory, but grieving for his mother and calling to those with an open third eye to pierce the veil of darkness cloaking this world.
The forces of evil no longer hide. Satan and his minions work openly, ensnaring souls to carry out their vile deeds. “And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light” (2 Corinthians 11:14, RSVCE). Too many willingly trade their souls for fleeting power and wealth, heedless of the warning: “Be sober, be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking some one to devour” (1 Peter 5:8, RSVCE). Yet, in this hour of darkness, a great awakening stirs. “Therefore it is said, ‘Awake, O sleeper, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give you light’” (Ephesians 5:14, RSVCE).
Those of us anchored in faith, with hearts open to the pain of others, feel Yu Menglong’s anguish resonating within us—through vivid visions or the stirrings of his restless spirit. I am not alone in this. Many testify that his soul calls us to unveil the truth. One night, as I knelt in fervent prayer, images of Yu Menglong flashed vividly in my mind’s eye, a divine revelation that echoes God’s promise: “And in the last days it shall be, God declares, that I will pour out my Spirit upon all flesh, and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams” (Acts 2:17, RSVCE). This vision has ignited a fire within me to join the chorus demanding justice. As Scripture commands, we must “take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead expose them” (Ephesians 5:11, RSVCE), ensuring the innocent are not forsaken, for “you shall not kill the innocent and righteous, for I will not acquit the wicked” (Exodus 23:7, RSVCE).
Prayer for Yu Menglong and Protection from Evil
Merciful Father, whose love endures forever, we lift up the soul of Yu Menglong to Your infinite compassion. “The Lord is near to the brokenhearted, and saves the crushed in spirit” (Psalm 34:18, RSVCE). Grant him peace, O Lord, and lead his soul from the shadows of this world into the eternal light of Your presence. Comfort his grieving mother and all who mourn his loss, enveloping them in Your mercy. We beseech You to shield us from the wiles of Satan and his minions, who seek to ensnare the vulnerable. “Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil” (Ephesians 6:11, RSVCE). Clothe us in Your truth, righteousness, and faith, that we may stand firm against the forces of darkness. Empower us, O God, to expose the hidden works of evil and seek justice for Yu Menglong and all the innocent, trusting in Your promise: “The Lord will keep you from all evil; he will keep your life” (Psalm 121:7, RSVCE). Through Jesus Christ, our Savior, we pray. Amen.
Let us rise, united in faith, to shine Christ’s light into this darkness and seek justice for Yu Menglong, trusting that “the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it” (John 1:5, RSVCE).
