A Catholic Perspective on Cosmic Events, Spiritual Deception, and the Coming Trials
As we approach late October into November, some speak of unusual cosmic events—asteroids (including the object designated 2024 PT5, sometimes misidentified as “3i Atlas”), solar activity, or atmospheric changes—that may affect sensitive individuals. Others, influenced by New Age ideologies, interpret these as signs of “higher consciousness” or an impending “shift in reality.”
As Catholics, we reject such occult frameworks. The Church teaches that extraterrestrial claims often mask demonic deception (CCC 2116–2117). What some call “aliens” or “reptilians” are, in truth, fallen angels—demonic spirits seeking to mislead (Eph 6:12; 2 Thess 2:9–11). St. Paul warns:
“For such men are false apostles, deceitful workmen, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ. And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light” (2 Cor 11:13–14, RSVCE).
I have previously written about the Three Days of Darkness, a private revelation endorsed by some saints (e.g., Bl. Anna Maria Taigi) and consistent with apocalyptic warnings in Scripture:
“Blow the trumpet in Zion; sound the alarm on my holy mountain! Let all the inhabitants of the land tremble, for the day of the Lord is coming… a day of darkness and gloom” (Joel 2:1–2, RSVCE).
Whether this chastisement comes now or later, we must prepare spiritually—not with fear, but with faith, prayer, and sacramental life.
Practical Catholic Preparation:
- Frequent Confession and Holy Communion – Stay in a state of grace (John 20:23; CCC 1457).
- Daily Rosary and Scripture – Arm yourself with the Word of God (Eph 6:17).
- Blessed Candles & Holy Water – Traditional aids during times of trial (as advised in approved private revelations).
- Family Prayer – Gather loved ones; demons flee united prayer (Matt 18:20).
- Discernment – Test every spirit (1 John 4:1). Avoid sensationalist “prophets” on social media peddling fear or alien conspiracies.
If the Three Days of Darkness Come:
- Stay indoors, pray the Rosary, invoke St. Michael.
- Demons will prowl, seeking the ruin of souls (1 Pet 5:8).
- Trust in Christ’s victory: “I have said this to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world” (John 16:33, RSVCE).
Let us fix our eyes on Jesus (Heb 12:2), not on asteroids or alien delusions. The real battle is spiritual. Prepare your hearts through prayer, penance, and the sacraments. If darkness falls—whether literal or metaphorical—Christ is the Light no darkness can overcome (John 1:5).
God Bless 🙏💕
