A Stronger Me In My Own Existence

In recent years, many have reflected on biblical prophecies about the end times—wars, famines, earthquakes, and the trials that Scripture describes as “the beginning of the birth-pangs” (Matthew 24:8, RSV-CE). Jesus warns of a great tribulation unlike any before (Matthew 24:21), yet He urges us not to be alarmed, for these signs point toward redemption and His glorious return.

Rather than fear or speculation, I sense—through prayer and quiet conviction—that we may be living in a season of profound awakening. Events have revealed how easily narratives can seek to centralize control and limit freedom, yet we have also witnessed remarkable resilience: individuals and nations rising to defend human dignity, religious liberty, and truth. Many are awakening to reject chains of deception and turn toward the light of Christ.

This movement aligns with God’s grace pouring out upon the world. He invites each of us to choose Him, breaking free from sin and the subtle influence of evil (as depicted in Revelation’s imagery of final judgment and renewal). Humanity’s history reveals cycles of renewal and trial—periods of peace and awakening often precede challenges—but God continually calls His people into His embrace, the true “holy land” of eternal life.

What may follow such a global awakening is a time of relative peace, yet the Church teaches that a final trial awaits, where deception will test the faithful before Christ’s triumphant return (Catechism of the Catholic Church, §§675–677, 680). The seven bowls of wrath in Revelation 16 symbolize the completion of God’s justice against unrepentant evil—not a puzzle to predict dates, but a reminder of His ultimate victory.

In these days, I pray that God’s hand guides us as more people awaken to see beyond fleeting narratives. May our light shine brightly, drawing others into His truth, so that together we reject darkness and live the Gospel fully. As Jesus assures us: “Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away” (Matthew 24:35, RSV-CE).

Let us live in hope, fidelity, and love—preparing our hearts for the Lord who comes to judge and redeem.

God bless! 🙏
