A Stronger Me In My Own Existence

Poem – Drawing Nearer to the Cross

Ecclesiastes 2:26

“For to the one who pleases Him, God gives wisdom and knowledge and joy.”

As we walk the road toward the Cross,

let us draw nearer to Jesus.

For His death was not in vain,

but the greatest act of love

ever given to the world.

Yet how easily we forget

the graces, the blessings,

and the quiet mercy

poured into our days.

Instead, we are swept away

by the restless noise of the world—

working ourselves to the bone

for things that do not satisfy the soul.

How forgetful we become.

“It is not in striving that the heart finds peace, but in drawing nearer to Christ.”

For it is not in striving

that the heart finds peace,

but in drawing nearer to Christ.

He is the bridge

that leads us to the Almighty Father.

And when we trust in His guidance,

we discover the treasures heaven gives—

wisdom for the mind,

knowledge for the path,

and a joy that no earthly possession can replace.

May this reflection be a quiet reminder during this Lenten journey to draw nearer to Christ, where true wisdom, joy, and peace are found.
