A Stronger Me In My Own Existence

Like 10:1720

17 The seventy returned with joy, saying, “Lord, in your name even the demons submit to us!” 18 He said to them, “I watched Satan fall from heaven like a flash of lightning. 19 See, I have given you authority to tread on snakes and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy; and nothing will hurt you. 20 Nevertheless, do not rejoice at this, that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.”

There is so much in our world that enslaves and encapsulates us into passivity. It quietly indoctrinates every path in our lives. The dark powers have infiltrated every aspect of our society – existential ideology and the dawn of modernism and its post – “there are truths but no truth.” (Camus)

All media, news, film and television, to the lyrics, rhythm and videos in mainstream music, and, our educational institutions – create passivity within.

Enslaved to the system. As early as preschool (daycare, and kindergarten), children are already being trained to compliantly accept the prevailing wave of the norm. All social media – are floodgates of the sacred and profane – it’s goal – to pollute, create chaos and confusion with half truths, and utter nothingness. It invades our senses and clutters our brain. Truth has become – your truth, my truth, whatever! Stories become his-story, her-story, and “the other”.

It’s easy to ride the wave without discernment. This is the new norm. Too often we don’t realize or see the hidden Satanic power (darkness without) that controls and manipulates behind the scene. Darkness now operates in plain sight. It is in the guise of self centred “me-ism.”

Aside: I recall visiting a Montreal college with my son. I was shocked to see posted on the door of a faculty member an invite to the Church of Satan – I remember pointing this out to my son. Needless to say, this college was crossed off our list.

Aside: All too often it is easy for me to get caught up in conflicts within and without. I sometimes find myself drawn into ideological, theological, political, or cultural crossfires. It is easy to fall into a sense of righteous perception – right or wrong, of good or bad. It’s easy to ride the wave of populist culture.

Freedom is in the name of Jesus…I am thankful for discernment which comes from the Holy Spirit. I am thankful that I can step back with the power and authority of Jesus to climb out of all of Satan’s traps.

The Holy Spirit lifts my veil to reveal the truth of God. I think and ask myself, What would Jesus do?” “How would Jesus respond?”

It starts a spiritual growth – and – a life long journey. Throughout my walk with Christ, I have been blessed with the ability to discern. The veil has been lifted with the daunting realization:

Ephesians 6:12 (NRSVC)

12 For our struggle is not against enemies of blood and flesh, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers of this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.

We have the power of the Holy Spirit within us. We have the authority to say: “In the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, Satan be gone!”

The precious name of Jesus is our tool to battle the darkness.

I felt moved today to rant and share with all – a reminder – we have the power and authority within us to battle the hounds of hell around us.

Sometimes we don’t see, or we walk passively to avoid confronting all things unholy. Know that we are strong in Christ Jesus🙏

God Bless🙏💕
