1 Peter 5:7
7 Cast all your anxiety on him, because he cares for you.
The past few days I have been overwhelmed with anxiety and stress over the debt load I created for myself. I felt I was at the end of a dark tunnel with no way out.
I always thought I was a wise person and able to discern between good and bad. Well, I have fallen short and got immersed in getting myself sucked into a scam with the promise of gold on the other side of the rainbow.
Seduction in our secular world comes in all forms. It could be wanting that nest egg so much that the warning signs were ignored. It happened to me!
Today I made appointments with my bank to consolidate my debts and work out a manageable payment plan.
Please pray that the bank is willing to help me.
It has been a hard lesson for me, and I thank Jesus for his compassion and love.
He forgives and gives me the strength to find a way out. I am at the lowest I can be, and he is still there for me while all those I thought I could trust – cheated me.
Jesus was harsh on the Pharisees due to their pride. They thought they were never wrong. Jesus’ compassion for us folks comes because we can a knowledge our sins, failures, and seek forgiveness. Forgiveness gives us the strength and hope to get out of the mess we created as a result of our sins. It also makes us realize how fallible we are as human beings. It reveals how easily we can fall into Satans clutches.
