I am part of the RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) team at my parish, and there is nothing that gives me more joy than the awareness that the Holy Spirit has moved the hearts of many to the Catholic Faith. There has been a few new participants joining after we started in September, but their zeal and willingness to do extra catch up classes so that they can be Baptized Easter 2024 warms my heart. Their enthusiasm reveals the hands of the Holy Spirit nudging them forward.
Their (RCIA) preparation for Baptism and Confirmation is a journey in understanding not only who God is, the Holy Trinity and all the fundamentals of the Catholic Faith, but it is a journey for each to prepare for a new life in Christ Jesus. Their Baptism is a public testament of this new life.
There are more participants this year. More coming forward to know Jesus and have a deeper understanding of Catholicism, and taking the steps to be a part of the body of Jesus. Praise be to our Lord Jesus Christ, whose death on the cross creates not only a bridge to the Father, but gives us guidance and comfort in the Holy Spirit.
Tammy Peterson (wife of Jordan Peterson) has announced her coming Baptism Easter 2024. When we read about well known individuals coming to Christ, I imagine the joyous songs in the heavenly realm welcoming now only her, but all Baptismal and Confirmation candidates. Their testaments of faith also plant seeds in others.
