Understanding Demonology and the spiritual war we are in will help us maneuver our world. It will also help each of us lead an authentic Catholic life. Sharing with my readers Fr. Chad Ripperger’s lecture on this topic. It’s almost 2 hours long, and very comprehensive based on his experience as an exorcist and demonology.
(From https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chad_Ripperger). Fr. Chad Alec Ripperger (born October 11, 1964) is an American Catholic priest, theologian, philosopher, and exorcist. He is well known in traditional Catholiccircles, has presented many conferences throughout the United States on theological and pastoral subjects, and is the founder of the traditional CatholicSociety of the Most Sorrowful Mother (the Doloran Fathers)[1] in the Archdiocese of Denver, Colorado, USA.
I hope I am not bombarding my readers with too much information (my priest once told me to take baby steps in teaching RCIA). The topic can be mind boggling, and most will be afraid to know or discuss this topic, but pray for the guidance of the Holy Spirit. God Bless 🙏💕.
Please pray for me as I pray for each of you 🙏💕
I have to say that sometimes (ok, most of the time) it’s a struggle between my will (me) and God’s will. My path seems easy and mapped out. God’s route takes time and effort, nor do I know where the Holy Spirit will take me:
8 The wind blows where it chooses, and you hear the sound of it, but you do not know where it comes from or where it goes. So it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit.”
John 3:8 NRSVCE
The spiritual road travelled is littered with life challenges – it is through them that we can grow in leaps and bound. A part of that growth process is learning to discern between consolation and desolation. That is distinguishing if it’s from God or Satan. I have to admit this is a life long process of being mindfully alert and Jesus centred.
So often I do something thinking it’s God’s will only to realize the evil one has slid in and before I know it, I’m feeling stressed, overloaded and burdened. I piled upon myself all these to do activities thinking it will develop my spirituality only to realize they end up distracting me from focusing on Jesus. Satan has inadvertently slithered in. Yup, my lack of discernment.
These past few weeks, I have learnt exactly that – Trust God, keep my focus on Jesus, and silent time to hear the Holy Spirit. It is easy to fall on the wayside without realizing it. That’s when I find it necessary to shift my focus back to Jesus.
Good Bless 🙏💕
If you haven’t started following the online readings of the Catechism In A Year with Father Mike Schmitz, it’s not too late to start. As of January 4th, 2023, it is Day 4.

I am following this online, and it is available on many platforms, and recommend it for a deeper understanding of the Catholic Faith.
Pray with a sincere heart for the grace to know God more deeply, love him more intimately and to follow his will more closely. God Bless 💕🙏
Being bed ridden is no fun, especially when it also triggers my asthma – so sleep is healing.
My Spiritual Director was not kidding when she once told me that the sick don’t pray or read the Bible. Well, I can honestly say that I just slept and bemoaned feeling like crap. I do recall murmuring Our Father and The Hail Mary.
My capable 16 year old tested me for Covid – 19 – negative. Praise God for his hand in my healing the past few days.
Being sick as the Advent season starts has given me time to reflect on Christ the king in my heart. It has also given me time to reflect on my sins – the chaos I create – gossipy tongue, work related dramas, interpersonal relationships and the mores! I continuously fall short. I am thankful for God’s Divine Mercy. His blood and water to cleanse the stains upon my soul.
I hope to be back on my feet and the first thing I will do is go to morning mass and make a good confession as I head into the Advent Season focused on only Jesus.
This morning I gathered my family and lit the first Advent Candle with this prayer:
Blessing wreath prayer written by the USCCB.
“Lord our God,
we praise you for your Son, Jesus Christ:
He is Emmanuel, the hope of the peoples,
He is the wisdom that teaches and guides us,
He is the Savior of every nation.
Lord God,
let your blessing come upon us
as we light the candles of this wreath.
May the wreath and its light
be a sign of Christ’s promise to bring us salvation.
May He come quickly and not delay.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen.”
I pray for a blessed Advent for each of you and your families 💕🙏 and may the light within us shine out into the world💕🙏

I cannot express enough the role of Mother Mary in drawing me closer to Jesus. As a mother, she guides me towards her son with gentle nudges and warns me if I fall too far behind him.
In this post, I share Father Chris Alar’s teachings and insights on Marian Apparitions through his series, Explaining The Faith. It is an excellent series as Father Chris takes us on a journey filled with insights from his own seminary training for the priesthood, and it gives a deeper understanding of our faith.

In the following videos, are those on Marian Apparitions. Father Chris gives insights into the role of Marian Apparitions in our world, as well as why Mother Mary has appeared during certain climatic events throughout our history.
This post is offered in thankfulness to the our Blessed Mother Mary, and to a reader for his email on two specific Marian Apparitions.

I have been learning the Lord’s Prayer and Hail Mary in Latin. My husband and kids think I’ve gone bonkers. “Mom, it’s a dead language!” “How can you learn Latin when your French sucks!” “Sheesh!”
Growing up in Ontario, I recall when Latin was an option available in High School. I never took it. These days, it’s not found in any educational curriculum. Latin is also not used in most mass since Vatican 2. Well, I’m up for the challenge of learning it – with – the help of the Holy Spirit.!
Why learn it? I have been thinking about learning prayers in Latin for a while now, and listening to Shia LaBeouf’s discuss on the mysteries of the Latin Mass, as well as those advocating for TLM, I decided to learn two as part of my daily prayers.
I also started to pray the rosary lead by Cardinal Burke:
God Bless each of us as we journey in knowing Jesus, loving him more deeply, and closely following him.🙏💕
I confess that I am a shopaholic. When I give into my weakness, Satan and his evil minions jump at every opportunity to create a divide between God and me.
A good example, is while online shopping, I spent more money than I had anticipated. I reasoned it was a sale too good to miss – after all it’s a “Back to School” sale. I should know better, especially as my own son was prepping for a huge back to school sale at his stores. Well, I fell into the guile’s of advertisement and “deals”.
Recalling afterwards my crazed mind as I put items into my cart and pressed pay, not once but twice, I realized and bemoaned my indulgence into the flesh and prayed seeking God’s forgiveness. Seeking for the strength to turn away from things of this world. Thank goodness our God is merciful.
God has a way of speaking to me that always strikes at my inner core. It results in a deeper understanding of Sacred Scripture:
22 Then Jesus said to his disciples: “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat; or about your body, what you will wear. 23 For life is more than food, and the body more than clothes.24 Consider the ravens: They do not sow or reap, they have no storeroom or barn; yet God feeds them. And how much more valuable you are than birds! 25 Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to your life?26 Since you cannot do this very little thing, why do you worry about the rest?
27 “Consider how the wild flowers grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you, not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. 28 If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today, and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, how much more will he clothe you—you of little faith! 29 And do not set your heart on what you will eat or drink; do not worry about it. 30 For the pagan world runs after all such things, and your Fatherknows that you need them. 31 But seek his kingdom, and these things will be given to you as well.32 “Do not be afraid, little flock, for your Father has been pleased to give you the kingdom. 33 Sell your possessions and give to the poor. Provide purses for yourselves that will not wear out, a treasure in heaven that will never fail, where no thief comes near and no moth destroys. 34 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
Luke 12:22-34
This verse is especially poignant and meaning because it was part of my meditation for the past few weeks. The depth of meaning in it didn’t hit me until I committed the self indulgent deed of falling prey to my own shopping frenzy.
It was only after I’ve fallen to my own vice that I can finally understand Luke 12:22-34.
God is merciful and will continue to guide us to become more aware of the narrow road towards holiness. I am thankful for his teachings, and graceful for the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
Satan and his minion are ever present and waiting to prey on our weaknesses. Vigilance Is the key. I can only battle evil with the help of Jesus. I came across the work of an Exorcist – Fr. Ripperger through the Augustine Institute. Please take the time to watch the following videos. They will help each of us to battle our brokenness with the help of the triune.
