Final thoughts as I complete the Gospel of Luke.
On the Road to Erasmus, Jesus met up with a few disciples who failed to recognize him until they sat down for a meal:
30 When he was at the table with them, he took bread, gave thanks, broke it and began to give it to them. 31 Then their eyes were opened and they recognized him, and he disappeared from their sight. 32 They asked each other, “Were not our hearts burning within us while he talked with us on the road and opened the Scriptures to us?”
4 He said to them, “This is what I told you while I was still with you: Everything must be fulfilledthat is written about me in the Law of Moses, the Prophets and the Psalms.”
45 Then he opened their minds so they could understand the Scriptures.
How often do I not see? When I am immersed in all the din of social media – I lose sight of Jesus. Hours of scrolling through TikTok, Instagram or Facebook, I get distracted by the latest news and gossip. Today with our internet, what happens around us is instantaneous uploaded.
I pray that we can see Jesus, and not get distracted by the latest gossip or news of our world.🙏💕
