Isaiah 40:31
But those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.
Today is a new day! Hope! I think about St. John of the Cross and his treatise on the journey of the dark night of the soul. His Dark Night (Noche Oscura), is a very passionate poem with a long commentary filled with insights into the illumination.
The illumination is the second phase in life’s journey after having encounter darkness, a crisis of faith or a difficult, and painful period in one’s life or spiritual journey. It is in this phase we find and feel God’s presence.
It is when we are drawn back into God’s presence and grace.
Romans 5:3-4
Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope.
I am thankful for having gone through the dark night of my soul and come out of it filled with renewed strength and hope.
Lingering not on the wrong I’ve done – that can’t be fixed – it’s in the past. Now I can only focus on a solution.
This morning, I sat in silence prayer in Mary Queen of the World Cathedral. My heart is filled with thankfulness for the love and grace of God. Going through my own dark night has drawn me closer to God.

God wants us to need him, for only in him and the salvation of Jesus Christ can we be set free.
God Bless.
Amen 🙏💕
