When the season changes from Fall to Winter, and the weather goes from mild warmth to bitter bone chilling cold, I can easily catch a cold or flu like virus.

Yup! I have been sick in bed with a cold virus or flu as they use to call it pre-Covid. Today any flu or cold like symptoms are automatically labelled Covid – viral infection).

Aside from taking my doses of daily vitamins (especially Quercetin) and Chinese cold medicine (Pei Pa Koa) along with plenty of sleep and rest, there is not much I can do except get well.

When I am sick it’s hard to focus on prayer or read.

I grumble and complain about getting sick just before Christmas, but I think it’s also God’s way of forcing me to be humbled and thankful for his hand in my life, and appreciate that healing also takes time. Grrr!

I recommend having both of these items on hand to help boost the immune system and soothe a sore throat/chest:

My husband also stocks up on Vitamins C, Elderberry, Omega-3 and along with Multivitamins.

For teas it’s Rooibos (boosts the immune system) and the combination of boiling water, Turmeric, ginger and honey for general health.
