A Stronger Me In My Own Existence

In a world often shadowed by troubling news and heartbreaking tragedies, I find myself waking each morning with a boundless joy that springs from God’s eternal love. This joy, a precious gift from our Creator, lifts my heart and fills me with hope, compelling me to share His unending love and light with all. Today, I’m excited to share with you an original song, “Joy of the Morning,” born from this very joy—a song of praise rooted in Catholic scripture, crafted to invite you into the heart of worship.

A Heart Resounding with Praise

Lately, I’ve felt a stirring within me, a bounce in my step that defies the weight of the world’s challenges. Inspired by the Holy Spirit, I wrote “Joy of the Morning” to celebrate God’s guidance, His mercy, and the promise that He is with us from the very beginning—knitting us together in our mother’s womb (Psalm 139:13). This song is my offering, a way to proclaim that no matter the storms we face, we can trust in God’s almighty love to lead the way.

I share this song with you not just as music, but as a prayer—a call to lift our voices together, to magnify the Lord, and to find fullness of joy in His presence. Whether you’re in a season of trial or triumph, I pray these words resonate with you and draw you closer to the One who is our strength and song.

Joy of the Morning: Lyrics

Verse 1

I woke up with joy, my heart’s alive,

Resounding with gladness, in Your love I thrive!

“Glory to God in the highest,” I sing, (Luke 2:14, RSVCE)

To the King of all kings, let the heavens ring!

There’s a strong beat within, as Your Spirit ignites,

Welcoming this new day, bathed in Your holy light!

Chorus

I sing praises, praises, to the Lord Most High,

My heart lifts up, soaring to the sky!

Psalm 55:17, I trust, You hear my cry, (Psalm 55:17, RSVCE)

All my worries I place in Your hands divine!

Hallelujah, hallelujah, guide me all my days,

With Your mighty love, I’ll walk Your holy ways!

Verse 2

From the womb You have known me, Your hand was my shield,

Psalm 139:13, Your love was revealed! (Psalm 139:13, RSVCE)

You breathed life within me, formed my soul to be,

Guided me to this world You created for me!

When I falter, You’re near, Your mercy’s my stay,

Proverbs 3:5, I trust You to lead the way! (Proverbs 3:5, RSVCE)

Chorus

I sing praises, praises, to the Lord Most High,

My heart lifts up, soaring to the sky!

Psalm 55:17, I trust, You hear my cry,

All my worries I place in Your hands divine!

Hallelujah, hallelujah, guide me all my days,

With Your mighty love, I’ll walk Your holy ways!

Bridge

When I submit my all, Your Spirit takes hold,

Psalm 31:5, I’m safe in Your love untold! (Psalm 31:5, RSVCE)

Your hand leads me on, through the night and the day,

Isaiah 41:10, Your strength lights my way! (Isaiah 41:10, RSVCE)

With the angels I join, lifting anthems of praise,

Revelation 7:12, to Your name always! (Revelation 7:12, RSVCE)

Outro

Forever I’ll sing, with joy overflowing,

Psalm 16:11, Your presence is glowing! (Psalm 16:11, RSVCE)

From the dawn to the dusk, I’ll lift up Your name,

With the love of Almighty, forever the same!

Hallelujah, hallelujah, to my God I sing!

A Call to Share God’s Joy

The heart of “Joy of the Morning” lies in its invitation to trust God fully, to surrender our worries, and to praise Him in every moment. As I reflect on the scriptures woven into this song—like Psalm 16:11, which promises “fullness of joy” in God’s presence—I’m reminded that His love is our anchor. No headline, no tragedy, no trial can dim the light of His eternal joy when we place our trust in Him.

I invite you to make this song your own. Sing it in your prayer time, share it with your parish, or let it lift your spirit on a tough day. Let’s join together, as Psalm 34:3 urges, to “magnify the Lord” and exalt His name. If this song touches your heart, I’d love to hear how—share your thoughts in the comments below or bring it to your worship community. Together, we can spread the message of God’s unending love.

Closing Prayer 🙏 💕

Heavenly Father, we thank You for the gift of joy that wakes us each morning, for Your love that never fails. May our praises rise to You, and may this song draw hearts closer to Your light. Guide us to share Your eternal love with the world, trusting in Your holy name. Amen.
