A Stronger Me In My Own Existence

After a week of neglecting my personal reading plan in 1 Peter, I was sidetracked by the shifting mores of world affairs—a world I grew up in, where fleeting values often shaped my early perspective. These distractions stirred my heart, but returning to 1 Peter 3:8-12 refocused me on God’s call:

“Finally, all of you, be like-minded, be sympathetic, love one another, be compassionate and humble. Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult. On the contrary, repay evil with blessing, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing. For, ‘Whoever would love life and see good days must keep their tongue from evil and their lips from deceitful speech. They must turn from evil and do good; they must seek peace and pursue it. For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their prayer, but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.’” (1 Peter 3:8-12, NIV)

The world’s moral grayness, exemplified by horrors like organ harvesting, makes standing for justice while staying compassionate feel daunting. My past, steeped in Chinese cultural superstitions, sometimes clouds my focus on God’s truth. When faced with evil or false accusations, I’m tempted to respond with anger. Yet, God calls me to bless, not curse, despite evil—a call to gentleness, as James 1:19 instructs: “Be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry.”

As a writer, I channel my passion for justice into words, aiming to expose truth without malice. Proverbs 15:1 guides me: “A gentle answer turns away wrath.” Through my writing, I seek to reflect God’s peace and humility, trusting that He sees my righteous heart and hears my prayers. I’m grateful for His countless blessings—family, purpose, and grace—and I pray daily to live with integrity, never disappointing Him. Psalm 34:15 reassures me: “The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and his ears are attentive to their cry.”

Despite distractions from my past or the world’s evils, I seek strength to embody compassion and pursue peace. May my words and heart reflect God’s light, honoring His call to bless others.

God Bless 🙏💕
