The Road Is Narrow

The road to heaven is narrow. The road to heaven is to love Jesus with all my heart, mind, body and spirit. This is proactively to have a sincere relationship with Jesus with all my heart, taking the time to know him, love him, and finally to follow him by doing – God’s will. Doing God’s will is not what I want, but what God wants for me.

Praying for God’s will in my life means picking up the cross of Jesus. For me this means stepping out of my comfort zone to trust and love Jesus, and, to love my neighbours. I am happy and content to exist in my little shell. It’s stress free and easy. Stepping out means I trust in Jesus to lead me along the rocky and narrow road towards heaven – and not hide in the four corners of my comfortable shell.

I am saved by grace, and this means for me to step out and love those around me. It can be a simple smile, a genuine greeting, a helping hand, and above all to love the unloveable.

Yes it’s hard to love our neighbours, and it is only through God’s grace and knowing that Jesus lives in my heart that I can do this. You can also!

Jesus, help me to enter through the narrow door. Guide and lead me to let go of the things in this world and focus just on the cross – to heed your words with a trusting and sincere heart – and to obey you🙏

I pray that each of you come to know Jesus, love him, and take up the cross to follow him. I pray for God’s blessings upon each of us to love our neighbours and ask for their salvation in our prayers, to sincerely love, greet, hugs, and give in good will.

May the light of the Cross in each of us radiate outwards.

Jesus passed through towns and villages,
teaching as he went and making his way to Jerusalem.
Someone asked him,
“Lord, will only a few people be saved?”
He answered them,
“Strive to enter through the narrow gate,
for many, I tell you, will attempt to enter
but will not be strong enough.
After the master of the house has arisen and locked the door,
then will you stand outside knocking and saying,
‘Lord, open the door for us.’
He will say to you in reply,
‘I do not know where you are from.
And you will say,
‘We ate and drank in your company and you taught in our streets.’
Then he will say to you,
‘I do not know where you are from.
Depart from me, all you evildoers!’
And there will be wailing and grinding of teeth
when you see Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob
and all the prophets in the kingdom of God
and you yourselves cast out.
And people will come from the east and the west
and from the north and the south
and will recline at table in the kingdom of God.
For behold, some are last who will be first,
and some are first who will be last.”

Why – March 25?

Our Lady of Fatima

I have linked Vatican and Catholic News sources on the Consecration of Ukraine and Russia. I am also linking information by Father Chris, MIC and Father Goring to give readers insights into the importance of the upcoming March 25, 2022 – Consecration of Ukraine and Russia.

I won’t be able explain in this short post the importance of this. I have discussed in earlier posting about our Immaculate Mothers’ apparitions, especially to the children in Fatima and her dire warnings of war and the human suffering. In our Holy mothers message to the children in Fatima, she specifically requested for the Consecration of Russia, which was done in the past – but without bishops participation.

Below I have embedded two videos that will help with understanding the significance of March 25th:

Father Goring on his YouTube channel often discusses the many apparitions of our Immaculate Mother. The most recent is today:

Today’s (March 18, 2020) homily by Father Chris – please take the time to watch:

We can help by raising our voices in heartfelt prayers. Let us take the time to pray the rosary and the Divine Mercy Chaplet for Russia and the Ukraine, and ask God for His blessings upon all mankind.

We can also give our soulful silent groans and moans to God to let Him know we need His intervention.

God Bless 💖

A Mother’s Love

Through our prayers, we can help avert the dangers that befalls our world. Marian apparitions throughout history has always come with grave warnings of impending danger to our humanity. At all times, they are warnings and calls to return to God. They are request by Mother Mary to pray daily on our own, as country, or as a community for God’s Divine Mercy.

It is easy to feel a sense of doom especially in light of the many events that has happened within the last two years. It is just as easy to fall into a depression, and take on an attitude that one can do nothing.

A mother’s love is great, and Mother Mary has come time and time again to warn us to ask for the diversion of impeding disasters through prayer, and turning back from our sins. She reminds us to embrace the Divine Mercy of God. Pray the Rosary daily. Pray for love and peace as a community, with a friend, with your family, or on your own:

The Hail Mary

Hail, Mary, full of grace,
the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou amongst women
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray for us sinners,
now and at the hour of our death.
Amen.

We must denied ourselves and take up the cross of Jesus Christ.

33 But strive first for the kingdom of God and his[righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.” Matthew 6:33

To deny our disorders, laziness, our distractedness and inordinate comforts. Denying all those things that keep us from prayer, worship and time with God. The temptation is there, and we need overrun the evil one with God’s help by taking up the cross (Ralph Martin – Run: You Can!)

Choose God, choose faith, choose to take up the cross and pray unceasingly.

Times like these will tempt our faith. They will make us doubt. There is a battle going on between good and evil. Run to Jesus with every breathe and with every step. I always imagine within my mind’s eye of stomping on the serpent’s head – with God’s help (Genesis 3:15, Revelation 12:1-6).

Be open to receiving God’s grace to that we can let go of all the burdens that weights us down.

Hope, Faith, and Charity.

Jesus, I trust in you.

Posted below are a few videos by Mark Goring, Father Chris Alar and Ralph Martin that I compiled in the hope of easing your fears, anxieties and stress for present world events. They are a reminder that Mother Mary loves her children, and needs our help in prayer. They remind us to take up the cross for Jesus. This means denying the secularism that has pushed God and all sense of spirituality into the back burners of our lives.

God Bless 💖Let us all cone together in prayer.

A Little Gem

I received a little booklet entitled: Treasure in Heaven by Fr. Mark Goring (Ottawa, Ontario), and want to share this little gem with my readers. It is a wonderful booklet for those wanting to know Jesus. It also offers a comprehensive 40 day journey in prayer and scripture in getting to know and draw closer to Jesus.

The pdf version is on the link:

https://companionscross.org/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/TreasureinHeaven_PrayerGuide.pdf

If there is difficulties with the link, please Google Treasure in Heaven Fr. Mark Goring

I also love the Freedom Prayer, a topic that has lead to much meditation on my part as I journey in my own understanding – true freedom only comes from God.

Freedom Prayer

Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me a sinner.

You promised Lord that You would set the captives free.

I confess Jesus that I am a slave and only You can break the chains that bind me.

I repent of relying on my own strength.

Without You Jesus I can do nothing.

I ask You Lord Jesus to set me free from (name area in your life where you need freedom).

Come now Holy Spirit and clothe me with power from on high. (take a moment and allow the Holy Spirit to empower you)

Give me the grace Lord Jesus to walk in faith today, confident in Your love and mercy.

Amen.

Download the Treasure in Heaven, or purchase this little gem for you prayer group, RCIA or parish. It is a beautiful gem in getting to know Jesus through prayer and scripture.

May God Bless your journey in Christ Jesus💖
